Our Board

Michelle Taylor Chairperson

Michelle joined the Board mid-2022. She is married with two grown sons, one in Christchurch and the other married in Denmark with a daughter. Michelle has worked full time for John Rhind Funeral Directors since 2010. Michelle is the Assistant Manager, Operations Manager and a qualified Funeral Director.
Her background in health care, business owner, management, working with local NGOs, bereavement services and funeral care will give her good grounding in her role on the Board.

Sister Kathleen Rushton RSM Board Member

Formerly a secondary school teacher, Sister Kathleen holds a PhD in the gospel of John in which she continues to research and write: works in adult education teaching Scripture; and in spiritual direction and formation.

Wendy Skinner Board Member

Wendy is a Chartered Accountant and a director at Baker Tilly Staples Rodway. She provides business and accounting advice to a variety of businesses. Wendy has held a number of voluntary positions on boards and enjoys giving back to the community. Wendy joined the Marralomeda Board in March 2019.

Tom Logan Board Member

Tom joined the board in May 2018 and has extensive experience as a Licenced Building Practitioner, Contract Supervisor and Self Employed Business Owner, building, renovating or completing fit-outs for a wide range of residential houses, light commercial buildings, offices, churches and schools. Tom is currently overseeing insurance repair projects, ensuring compliance to the Building Codes, quality workmanship and on-time completion within cost budgets.

Fran Pucilowski Board Member

Fran has spent most of her life in Christchurch. She trained as a Nurse and subsequently worked in Aged Care for over forty years retiring in 2019 from a Management position. Fran had a connection with Marralomeda providing nursing care for several residents in recent years. Fran joined the Board in early 2021.

Lorraine Gibbs Family Representative

Lorraine has been involved with Marralomeda since Bernadine came to live at McAuley House in mid-2021. She is married with two adult children and three grandchildren. Lorraine was involved with Special Olympics for 29 years, including being the Ten Pin Bowling Co-ordinator for Canterbury. Lorraine trained as a Karitane nurse and has also worked as a Nurse Aid for 11 years. She is a qualified Early Child Care Teacher and is currently a Kindy Nana two days a week. Her role as the family representative is to work alongside families and take information and suggestions from families through to the Board meetings.

Lynette Barnett Board Member

Lynette Barnett is married and has 2 adult sons. She has lived in Christchurch all her life and has a passion for the outdoors and has belonged to the Catholic Tramping Club for over 40 years. Lynette began her working life as a Computer Programmer and then took time out to be a full time Mum. Lynette was a teacher aide at the local primary school and at Hillmorton High School’s Upland Unit working one-on one with students with disabilities. When the Chris Ruth Centre opened near her home, she started as a support worker and after 12 years became Assistant Manager and part-time Manager. Lynette retired at the end of 2020.
